He’s the only black-owned butcher in the state of Oregon and has been serving his community for over 30 years. Mr. Cason will be closing his business soon and had some wonderful business advice, knowledge, and history to share with us.

Theotis Cason puts a premium on flavor and fresh, all-natural products.  With more than 35 years of meat-cutting experience, Cason has built his business on positive word of mouth and customers that keep coming back. His meat products are locally sourced – beef from Oregon Natural Meat, pork from Carlton Farms, chicken from Draper Valley – raised without added hormones, chemicals or additives. Cason is the owner/operator of Cason’s Fine Meats, previously located in the historic Kenton District.
